1. SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.1 Service Overview

Clean Shoey provides premium hand-detailed Shoe cleaning services. All shoes are cleaned by hand using specialized techniques and delicate care to preserve the integrity and quality of your footwear.

1.2 Scope of Services

Our cleaning service includes:

  • Hand-washing with premium detailing solutions

  • Gentle removal of dirt, stains, and debris

  • Careful attention to all materials (leather, suede, mesh, canvas, etc.)

  • Protective conditioning where appropriate

1.3 Excluded Items

Clean Shoey does not clean or repair:

  • Severely damaged or structurally compromised shoes

  • Shoes with active mold or hazardous materials

  • Items that are not footwear

  • Vintage or collectible sneakers without explicit written consent (due to specialized handling requirements)

1.4 Service Reservation & Ordering

  • All orders must be placed online via www.cleanshoey.com

  • Orders are confirmed upon online submission and payment verification

  • Customers will receive a pickup/delivery confirmation with estimated service date

1.5 Responsibility & Liability

  • Clean Shoey exercises utmost care with all items. However, we cannot guarantee restoration of pre-existing damage or wear.

  • Customers assume responsibility for any loss or damage to items in our possession beyond our reasonable control.

  • Clean Shoey is not responsible for shoes after delivery has been made and the customer has approved and consented to drop-off at their doorstep, even if the customer is not present at the time of delivery. Once the shoes have been left at the approved location, responsibility transfers to the customer.

1.6 Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must disclose any pre-existing damage before service

  • All orders must be picked up within seven (7) business days of pickup notification

  • Customers are responsible for following any special care instructions provided after cleaning

1.7 Right to Refuse Service

Clean Shoey reserves the right to refuse service to any customer for any reason at any time.

1.8 Age & Storage-Related Deterioration

Natural Decomposition: Shoes that are 10 years of production or older may exhibit natural decomposition and material breakdown. Clean Shoey is not responsible for deterioration that occurs as a result of the shoe's age.

Improper Storage: Shoes that have not been well stored and have been exposed to excessive heat, sunlight, humidity, or other environmental factors may show signs of deterioration. Clean Shoey is not responsible for material breakdown or deterioration that presents itself during or after the cleaning process due to improper storage conditions prior to service.

Customer Acknowledgment: Customers are responsible for disclosing the age and storage history of their sneakers. We recommend consulting with us before sending vintage or aged shoes for cleaning to discuss potential risks.

2. TURNAROUND TIME & SERVICE LEVELS

2.1 Standard Cleaning Turnaround

  • Standard Turnaround: 4 to 5 full business days

  • If your sneakers are completed before the estimated date, we will notify you immediately and offer early delivery/pickup

2.2 Extended Service Turnaround

Services requiring specialized work may take longer:

  • Paint Work: Up to 2 weeks

  • Deoxidation: Up to 2 weeks

  • Icing: Up to 2 weeks

  • Icy Bottoms (Custom): Up to 2 weeks

  • Other Add-On Services: Timeline provided upon assessment

Customers will receive a revised timeline estimate before work begins.

3. PRICING & PAYMENT POLICY

3.1 Service Pricing

Main Cleaning Services:

  • Premium Clean: $35 per pair

  • Platinum Clean: $50 per pair

Specialty Items:

  • Boots: $50-$60 per pair

  • UGGs: $50 per pair

Pricing subject to change without notice. Quote provided upon assessment of condition.

3.2 Additional Fees & Services

  • Express Cleaning (2-Day Turnaround): +$20 per pair

    • Turnaround does not include the day of pickup

    • Exception: If pickup is completed before 2 PM, express cleaning may begin same-day

  • Icing or Deoxidation Services: Quote provided upon assessment

3.3 Payment Methods Accepted

  • Cash (upon driver arrival)

  • Debit Card (online via invoice)

  • Credit Card (online via invoice)

3.4 Payment Terms

Full payment is due before we can start the cleaning process.

Payment options:

  • Online Payment: Pay in full via the invoice link (debit or credit card) at time of order submission

  • Cash Payment: Full payment upon driver arrival during pickup

Failure to provide full payment will result in service suspension until payment is received.

3.5 Taxes

Sales tax (if applicable) will be added to all invoices per local regulations.

4. PICKUP, DELIVERY & STORAGE POLICY

4.1 Free Pickup & Delivery Service

Clean Shoey offers complimentary pickup and delivery service to nearby areas.

Cancellation Notice Required:

  • Customers must cancel or reschedule their pickup appointment at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup date

  • To cancel or reschedule, contact: info@cleanshoey.com or call 203-930-1131

No-Show Fee:

  • If Clean Shoey arrives for the scheduled free pickup and the customer has not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, a $20 service charge will be applied to the customer's next scheduled pickup for unnecessary travel

  • This fee helps us manage our delivery routes efficiently and respect our drivers' time

4.2 Pickup Instructions

  • Customers will receive notification when sneakers are ready for pickup

  • All orders must be picked up within seven (7) business days of the pickup notification date

4.3 Storage Fees

  • Beginning on the eighth (8th) business day, a $20 weekly storage fee per pair will be assessed

  • Storage fees will continue weekly until items are collected or disposed of

4.4 Item Disposal

  • Clean Shoey is not responsible for unclaimed orders

  • Items not collected within thirty (30) days of the pickup notification will be donated or disposed of atour discretion

  • No refund will be issued for disposed items

4.5 Cancellation Policy & Contact Information

To cancel an order, please contact Clean Shoey as soon as possible:

Cancellation eligibility is subject to the following terms:

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before scheduled pickup: Full refund issued

  • Once cleaning has begun, cancellation is not permitted and full payment is required

5. REFUND & SATISFACTION GUARANTEE POLICY

5.1 Satisfaction Guarantee

Clean Shoey stands behind our work. If you are not satisfied with our cleaning results, we will reclean your sneakers at no additional charge within 7 days of delivery/pickup.

5.2 Refund Eligibility

Full Refunds will be issued if:

  • We are unable to complete the service as agreed

  • Your sneakers are lost or damaged due to our negligence

  • You cancel your order more than 48 hours before scheduled pickup

No Refund will be issued if:

  • Service has been completed and sneakers have been picked up/delivered

  • Cancellation occurs within 48 hours of scheduled service

  • Damage is pre-existing (not caused by our service)

  • Customer claims are made more than 14 days after service completion

5.3 Inspection Required for Refunds & Replacements

No refunds or replacements will be issued without Clean Shoey receiving and inspecting the shoes first. All claims must include the physical sneakers for our assessment to determine eligibility for refund or reclean services or paint or service.

5.4 Refund Process

  1. Contact Clean Shoey within 7 days of service completion

  2. Return the sneakers to Clean Shoey for inspection

  3. Provide photo evidence (if applicable) of concerns

  4. We will assess the claim within 2 business days of receiving the shoes

  5. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-7 business days

5.5 Reclean Process

  • If results are unsatisfactory, we will reclean the sneakers at no cost

  • Reclean must be requested within 7 days of delivery/pickup

  • Maximum of 1 free reclean per order

  • If issue persists after reclean, a full refund may be issued at our discretion

5.6 Return Shipping (if applicable)

  • For local service: Customers may return items for inspection/reclean at no cost

  • For shipping service: Return shipping cost covered by Clean Shoey if due to our error

5.7 Paint Work Policy

Satisfaction Guarantee Window: If you are not satisfied with the paint job on your shoes, you must notify Clean Shoey within seven (7) business days of service completion.

Paint Work Liability Limitation: Clean Shoey is not responsible for paintwork after three (3) months from the date of service due to:

  • Natural wear and tear

  • Improper storage conditions

  • Exposure to environmental materials and damage

  • Inadequate maintenance by the customer

5.8 Icing & Deoxidation Services Policy

Service Timeline: Icing and deoxidation services can take up to two (2) weeks to complete.

Performance Guarantee: Clean Shoey guarantees a 70-80% lifting of yellowing and/or improvement from the original state in which the shoes entered the shop to the condition upon departure.

Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your icing or deoxidation service within seven (7) days of service completion, Clean Shoey will provide a second session of icing or deoxidation at no additional cost to lighten and improve the unsatisfied result.

No Improvement Refund Policy: If Clean Shoey is unable to lift yellowing and there is no improvement from the original state in which the shoes were received, a full refund will be issued for the icing or deoxidation service.

Yellowing After Service: Clean Shoey is not responsible for yellowing on icing jobs or deoxidation jobs after seven (7) days of service completion.

Why Yellowing Occurs: Yellowing is a natural chemical reaction that occurs between oxygen in the air and shoe materials. This process is accelerated by:

  • Sunlight and UV rays - breaks down chemical bonds in materials

  • Heat and moisture - accelerates oxidation

  • Dirt and grime buildup - soaks into material and contributes to re-yellowing

  • Sweat exposure - moisture accelerates degradation

  • Aging - materials naturally deteriorate over time

Common Factors Causing Oxidation & Yellowing:

  • Oxygen exposure

  • Sunlight and UV rays

  • Dirt and grime accumulation

  • Moisture and humidity

  • Sweat

  • Aging of materials

Where Oxidation & Yellowing Tend to Occur:

  • Soles - especially icy or translucent rubber soles

  • White or light-colored materials - where discoloration is most apparent

6. GENERAL POLICIES

6.1 Communication

Customers will receive updates at key stages:

  • Confirmation of online order submission

  • Pickup/delivery confirmation

  • Service completion notification and ready for pickup alert

  • Any delays or additional charges requiring approval

6.2 Health & Safety

  • All services comply with local health and safety regulations

  • Hand-cleaning practices follow industry-standard sanitation protocols

  • Biohazard materials are handled with appropriate safety measures

6.3 Privacy

Customer information is kept confidential and used only for service delivery purposes.

6.4 Modification of Terms

Clean Shoey reserves the right to modify these terms with 30 days' notice to customers.
